THG Labs Acheson offers a unique end-to-end service specialising in the development and supply of premium beauty and cosmetic products to highly respected brands and retailers on a global scale. We have over 400 talented individuals working across our sites in Trowbridge and Frome - including a state-of-the-art laboratory and 78,000 square foot ever-growing manufacturing site!

We are now searching for a positive and pro-active Line Setter to join our fast-paced Line Setter Team at our Frome site on a full-time basis.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday 5.45am-2.45pm & 1.15pm-10.15pm (Shift Rotation)

Responsibilities

This role is essential in ensuring efficient line changeovers, maintaining machinery performance and supporting continuous improvement across our operations.

Carry out full line changeovers, preparing machine parts, paperwork and setting sheets for efficient, consistent changeovers. Complete shift handovers, logging events, issues and changeover status every shift. Ensure lines are safe to operate by completing required safety checks before running. Identify and resolve machine-related quality issues, escalating and reporting to relevant staff as needed. Support fill trials, including identifying parts and FAT activities. Represent the team at daily SIC meetings. Set up and maintain vision systems (Keyence CVX, IV1000, SR2000, and others as implemented). Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) when required. Patrol lines to ensure machines run efficiently at planned speeds, reacting quickly to breakdowns and escalating to engineering when necessary. Support training of line setter team members and work independently on continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

Knowledge of machine programming for tube lines (training provided for other lines). Strong planning, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read technical drawings and understand machine functions. Comfortable using small hand tools, power tools, and pallet trucks. Basic Office 365 skills; good numeracy and handwriting. Ability to select correct change parts and work safety at height. Self-disciplined, eager to learn, and able to work well within a team.
