Link/Forklift Operative

Pay:

13.59 per hour (averaged pay of 42 hours per week) + overtime (time and a half, double time Sundays/bank holidays)

Shift Pattern

: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off (12-hour shifts, 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am)

The Role

As a Link Operative, you will work on the forklift trucks, supporting the Extrusion team, ensuring raw materials are correctly identified, stored, and supplied to operators. You'll be responsible for ensuring the internal silos are kept filled, and finished goods are moved to the Warehouse. You'll also be collecting and segregating scrap material, maintaining accurate stock rotation, and following all Health & Safety and traceability standards.

Key Responsibilities

Follow all essential site Health & Safety rules and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Manage raw materials and masterbatch stock, including accurate storage, labelling, rotation, debagging into silos, and weekly stock checks. Handle material flow throughout production: supplying extrusion operatives, drying wet polymer, filling silos, and transporting finished goods to the warehouse. Organise and maintain part bags, part bins, and part pallets, ensuring they are correctly sealed, labelled, covered, and used in the proper rotation. Safely segregate, palletise, and transport scrap materials to the appropriate processing or storage areas.
