Provide expert support on both contentious (employment disputes, tribunals) and non-contentious (advisory, compliance, transactional) employment law matters for a diverse range of commercial clients. Responsibilities
Advise clients on a wide range of employment law issues, including conduct, absence, discrimination, TUPE, redundancy, and settlements.
Deliver practical, commercially focused advice via telephone and written communication.
Manage a caseload that includes contentious work (employment tribunals, dispute resolution) and non-contentious tasks (contract reviews, policy drafting, compliance).
Collaborate with HR, managers, and business stakeholders to provide practical legal solutions.
Stay informed of developments in employment law and share insights and best practices with colleagues and clients.
Maintain precise and comprehensive case management records.
Handle a high volume of advisory work while ensuring excellent client service quality.
Requirements
UK-qualified solicitor with 2-4 years' post-qualified experience (PQE) in employment law.
Proven expertise in both contentious (litigation/tribunal) and non-contentious (advisory/compliance) employment law matters.
Ability to manage a demanding caseload and consistently meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
Practical problem solver with a commercial mindset and keen attention to detail.
Current knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR practices.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Based in or willing to relocate to Manchester.
