This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in claimant litigation and a passion for helping individuals affected by workplace exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a varied caseload of pre- and post-litigated industrial disease claims under supervision or independently, depending on experience.
Assess liability, causation, and quantum.
Draft legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, and schedules of loss.
Negotiate settlements and case management conferences where required.
Work within court and procedural deadlines (CPR compliance).
Maintain accurate records on the case management system.
Liaise with clients, medical experts, counsel, insurers, and defendants' solicitors.
Contribute to team meetings and knowledge sharing within the department
Qualifications
A degree in law or any qualifications equivalent.
Previous experience in litigation or a related field is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in all documentation.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
Strong organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines.
