Hours of work:

9am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm Friday - 37.5 hours per week

Primary Role

To assist in the provision of legal advice within the area of expertise to clients, resulting in a satisfactory profitable outcome.

Accountability

1. Meet agreed personal target

2. Consistently provide high quality service to clients

3. Consistently assist in bringing matters to satisfactory, profitable conclusions

4. Keep up to date with new legislation

5. Record agreed chargeable hours on a daily basis

Tasks

1. Legal casework including:

Take instructions within area of expertise Interview clients/witnesses as required Negotiating on behalf of the clients by telephone and correspondence Drafting documents Any other tasks as instructed by Head of Department/Partner
2. Carry out file reviews as specified by the Practice Manager

3. Ensure casework is carried out in accordance wit the policy of the Practice and the client's instructions

4. Communicate with the client and keep the Head of Department informed of any matters which would vary the terms of reference or otherwise cause concern.

5. Promotes the full range of services available to clients and potential clients

6. Seeks opportunities to promote the Practice by identifying and helping to develop new expertise and fields of activity.

7. Ensure that matters are run efficiently.

8. Assist in accurately billing clients.

9. Assist other fee-earners as appropriate.

10. All above duties to be under supervision as appropriate.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 24,000.00 per year
