Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Litigation Solicitor

to join our team. The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of litigation matters, provide high-quality advice and representation to clients, and play an active role in the continued growth of our litigation department.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of general civil and commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, debt recovery, property litigation, and professional negligence claims. Advise clients on legal strategy, merits of claims/defences, and potential outcomes. Draft pleadings, witness statements, applications, and other litigation documents. Conduct advocacy at interim hearings where appropriate. Liaise with counsel, experts, and third parties as required. Provide excellent client care, ensuring effective communication and regular case updates. Support business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the department. Ensure compliance with regulatory and firm policies, including SRA Standards and Regulations.

Requirements

Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (1-3 years PQE, though all levels considered). Strong knowledge of civil and commercial litigation practice and procedure. Experience handling a varied caseload with minimal supervision. Excellent drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills. Strong client care and communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Commitment to professional development and contributing to the success of the team.
