is proud to partner with a well-established law firm in the search for a skilled and experienced General Litigation Lawyer to join their dynamic team. This is a fixed-term position to cover maternity leave, beginning in mid to late October, with a high likelihood of transitioning into a permanent role for the right candidate.
You will be entrusted with managing a broad and stimulating caseload of litigation matters, delivering high-quality legal advice and representation with minimal supervision. The firm is actively looking to expand its litigation practice, and candidates with additional expertise in employment law or other complementary legal areas are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Handle a varied caseload including commercial disputes, contractual claims, contentious probate, and debt recovery
Draft legal documents, correspondence, and court pleadings with precision
Conduct thorough legal research and provide clear, practical advice to clients
Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
Liaise effectively with clients, counsel, experts, and other stakeholders
Ensure full compliance with regulatory and professional standards
Candidate Profile
Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales
Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in litigation
Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
Excellent organisational and time management capabilities
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
