are a Milton Keynes based supplier to the live events industry. We work in three main areas: Staging & Structures, Technical Production, and Trade Equipment Hire.

We have a massive inventory of industry standard Staging, Rigging, Lighting, Video, Audio & Power equipment, a team of experienced technicians, and a fleet of dedicated delivery vehicles.

Services available include the supply of Stages and Platforms for indoor and outdoor use, the Dry Hire of individual items of equipment, through to a complete Technical Production Service.

Live Events

- Portable Appliance Test ( PAT) Supervisor

This hands-on role is responsible for leading the Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) team to ensure all company equipment is tested, inspected, and maintained to meet safety standards and compliance requirements, keeping it available and ready for hire.

While this is a supervisory position it remains a hands- on role. Working closely with the Asset Manager and other departments, you will oversee and actively carry out regular testing in addition to overseeing the annual inspection schedule for all electrical equipment, ensuring all items are tested within required timescales and accurately recorded. You will lead, motivate, and support the PAT team to achieve testing targets and maintain a high standard of accuracy, organisation, and safety within the PAT process.

Responsibilities



Lead, plan, and coordinate the work of the PAT team to ensure testing targets and schedules are met. Maintain and update the PAT testing schedule to ensure all items are tested annually and certification remains valid. Carry out regular PAT testing and inspection of electrical equipment, ensuring all tests meet company standards and statutory safety requirements. Operate and oversee the Datastrategy QC testing machines, ensuring accurate records are kept within company systems. Ensure all equipment is correctly labelled and test data is properly recorded in the rental software system. Support and train team members in PAT processes, equipment use, and safety procedures. Monitor equipment condition and escalate any faults, defects, or trends to the Asset Manager for investigation or repair. Liaise with other departments to coordinate the flow of equipment to and from testing, minimising disruption to warehouse operations. Ensure the PAT workspace remains organised, safe, and compliant with company and H&S standards. Analyse testing data to identify potential bottlenecks or patterns that could inform future maintenance or purchasing decisions. Assist the Asset Manager in planning and reporting on test compliance rates and scheduling forecasts. Undertake additional electrical safety, inspection, or stock control tasks as required by the Asset Manager.

Essential Requirements



Experience performing or supervising Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) - formal qualification desirable but not essential (training provided). Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage testing schedules across large inventories. Analytical mindset with the ability to forecast, plan ahead, and identify potential issues before they arise. Ability to motivate and develop a small team, promoting a positive and efficient working culture. Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to liaise across departments and maintain accurate records. Competent IT user, with good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite (Excel, SharePoint, Forms). High attention to detail and a methodical approach to record keeping. Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks safely. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently and under pressure. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Desirable Skills (Not Essential)



Experience using Datastrategy QC PAT testing machines. Understanding of electrical safety standards and inspection processes. Knowledge of HireTrack rental software. Familiarity with live events or entertainment industry equipment Basic understanding of electrical circuits, testing principles, or fault diagnosis.
