Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others and the ability to create a safe and nurturing environment. Caregivers will be responsible for delivering personal care, companionship, and support to clients in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and private homes.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Implement behaviour management techniques as needed to ensure client safety and comfort. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members regarding client needs. Support clients with dementia care, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.

Experience

Previous experience in home care, nursing homes, or assisted living environments is preferred. Familiarity with first aid procedures is advantageous. A background in behaviour management will be considered an asset. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and a strong desire to help others in need of care.
