Live in Care Worker in Littlehampton

This role is specifically for a gentleman who has suffered multiple strokes, has partial Aspasia and has recently been diagnosed with Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy.

So, he needs someone that is calm, patient and compassionate as his needs and ability can be varied throughout the day, especially his mobility and ability to eat.

He Lives on his own so you would need to also manage his home which includes light housekeeping duties. His personal interests are watching tv, comedies, quizzes and anything horticultural.

The role is for 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off.

Your role would include helping with tasks such as:

Assisting with washing /showering and dressing

Incontinence care

Shopping and Meal preparation

administering medication and collection of medicines

Support with daily routines

Socialising and leisure activities

So, we would be looking for someone with the following qualities:

High Standards of Care

Self-motivated, organised and reliable

Be able to prepare and cook a meal.

Each 24-hour period you are with the client you will receive 2 hours of the day to yourself. You will have your own bedroom and bathroom.

Mandatory requirements:

Two references

Excellent levels of spoken and written English

Right to work in the UK

DBS clearance

Minimum of 1 year's care experience
