self-employed male Live-in Carer

to support a gentleman living in

Somerset

.

This is a

2-week on / 2-week off placement

, offering an excellent work-life balance while making a genuine difference to someone's life.

About the Client:

The client is living with

dementia

and leads an

active and sociable lifestyle

. He enjoys:

Walking and spending time outdoors Socialising and visiting the pub to see friends Rugby, engineering and general sports Spending time with his dog
You will support him with day-to-day living while encouraging independence, companionship and enjoyment of life.

Key Responsibilities:

No two days are the same. Duties may include:

Companionship and emotional support Encouraging and assisting with personal care Preparing and cooking meals Supporting mobility and daily activities Accompanying the client on walks, outings and social visits Overseeing medication in line with the care plan Light household duties such as cleaning and laundry Running errands including shopping and prescriptions
Additional training is provided for more complex needs, including first aid.

Essential Requirements:

Male applicant

Self-employed status

Full UK driving license

Own vehicle with business insurance

Compassionate, patient and reliable nature Excellent spoken and written English Right to work in the UK Must have Dementia Care experience Rolling DBS Mandatory Health & Social Care Training (Can be provided at cost) 2 years live-in care experience is essential
