We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate live-in carer to provide high-quality support to clients in the comfort of their own homes. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring safety and well-being, and offering companionship to enhance the client's quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Personal Care:
Assist with daily hygiene routines, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Support with toileting and continence management.
Help with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment where necessary.
2. Household Support:
Prepare and cook nutritious meals according to the client's dietary needs.
Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying.
Assist with shopping and errands as required.
3. Health and Medication:
Prompt and assist with medication as prescribed.
Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or overall well-being to family or healthcare professionals.
Provide first aid if necessary, following appropriate training.
4. Emotional and Social Support:
Offer companionship and engage the client in meaningful conversations and activities.
Encourage independence where possible, while providing the necessary support.
Accompany clients to appointments, social events, or outings as needed.
5. Safety and Well-Being:
Ensure the client's living environment is safe, clean, and comfortable.
Follow care plans and risk assessments to minimize hazards.
6. Communication and Documentation:
Maintain clear communication with family members and healthcare professionals.
Keep accurate records of daily activities, care provided, and any observations or concerns.
Qualifications and Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient, and respectful of clients' dignity and independence.
Additional Requirements:
Right to work in the UK.
DBS clearance.
Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the client.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
