The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Live-In Support Worker to join our growing team in Swansea.
You'll live on-site during your rota period (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off) providing both emotional and practical support to young residents. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people transitioning to adulthood.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day emotional and practical support to residents aged 16-21
Promote independence and positive decision-making
Maintain accurate daily records, risk assessments, and support plans
Ensure the safety, welfare, and safeguarding of all residents
Support young people with education, training, and employment opportunities
Help with budgeting, cooking, and maintaining the accommodation environment
Liaise professionally with social workers, local authorities, and colleagues
Requirements
Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service)
Social Care Wales (SCW) registration (or willingness to register)
Previous experience working with vulnerable young people (16+)
Strong communication and boundary-setting skills
Resilient, reliable, and able to work independently
Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
