We are is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Care Assistant to provide 24/7 support to elderly clients in their homes. You will deliver personalized care, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being in line with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards. This role requires living in the client's home, providing continuous care, and building meaningful relationships to enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care: Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, and dressing, ensuring comfort and dignity. Mobility Support: Help with transfers, walking, or using mobility aids, and support prescribed exercises to maintain mobility. Meal Preparation and Feeding: Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic-friendly) and assist with eating or feeding as needed. Medication Management: Provide medication reminders or administer medications (if permitted), monitoring for side effects. Personal Safety: Ensure a safe environment by removing hazards, repositioning bedbound clients, and monitoring health changes day and night. Companionship: Engage in conversation, activities (e.g., reading, games), and outings to reduce loneliness and promote mental well-being. Shopping: Manage grocery shopping or essential purchases, either with the client or on their behalf, aligning with their needs and preferences. Light Housework: Perform light cleaning (e.g., tidying, laundry, dishwashing) in the client's living areas to maintain a clean, comfortable home. Live-in Care Duties: Provide 24/7 support, including nighttime assistance (e.g., toileting, reassurance), responding to emergencies, and coordinating with family or healthcare professionals. Monitoring and Reporting: Observe and document changes in the client's health or behaviour, reporting concerns promptly to supervisors or healthcare professional

Skills and Experience:



Experience: Previous experience in care (preferably live-in or homecare) or a willingness to learn with provided training.

Qualifications: NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable but not essential; training provided). Checks: Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Skills: Compassionate, patient, and reliable with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle physical tasks (e.g., manual handling). Availability: Willingness to live in the client's home with designated rest periods, as per UK regulations. Knowledge: Understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, and infection control (training provided if needed). Desirable: Valid UK driving license and ability to travel to client locations.
