Job Title:

Live-In Carer / Support Worker - Complex Needs

Overview:

The Live-In Carer provides round-the-clock support to an individual with complex physical, cognitive, or medical needs. The role ensures the client's safety, comfort, dignity, and independence while promoting their emotional well-being and quality of life. The carer lives in the client's home and works collaboratively with family members, healthcare professionals, and support services.

Key ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care & Daily Living

Support with washing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and personal hygiene Assist with mobility, transfers, hoisting, or use of other equipment Help with medication administration (as per training and care plan) Monitor health, behaviour, and emotional state, reporting concerns promptly Support with continence care and catheter/PEG/clinical tasks if trained

Complex Care Support

Follow structured care plans Assist with communication difficulties and emotional regulation Oxygen, Nebulizer, cough assist NIB - BIPAP Carry out prescribed physiotherapy, exercises, or rehabilitation activities

Domestic & Household Duties

Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if required Keep the home clean, safe, and hygienic Manage laundry, shopping, and household organisation Ensure equipment is maintained and used safely

Community & Social Support

Accompany the client to appointments, activities, or community events Encourage independence, participation, and social interaction Support hobbies, learning, and meaningful daily activities

Professional Responsibilities

Maintain accurate daily records Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection procedures Work collaboratively with healthcare teams, therapists, and family Adhere to company policies and care standards
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 805.00-840.00 per week

Work Location: In person
