Livestock Administrator

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Livestock Administrator to join our busy team. This is a vital role within our livestock department, ensuring all animal movements, transactions, and records are managed accurately and within strict reporting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:



Ensure all livestock are booked in and recorded accurately and promptly.

Report livestock movement licences (LIS and ScotEID) within the required timeframes.

Reconcile daily production figures to confirm all data is correct and accounted for.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock locations.

Record and approve Livestock, Haulage, and Buyers' Commission invoices accurately and on time.

Notify the Livestock Office Manager of any discrepancies or potential disruptions to daily operations.

Provide general support to the Livestock Office Manager as required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:



Previous experience in livestock administration or within an agricultural/livestock setting.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.

Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

Familiarity with LIS, ScotEID, and livestock tracking/reporting systems (desirable).

Proficiency in data entry and using bespoke or industry-specific software.
