The Role and Department:



We have an opportunity for a peer support worker to join the organisation on a permanent basis. Reporting to the project manager, the peer support worker will be responsible for supporting members of the public, empowering them to maintain and/or improve their wellbeing through the offer of peer support sessions. This will involve holding and managing a caseload, liaising with other professionals, and contributing to the multi-disciplinary approach of the Living Well concept.

To be considered for this role, we are looking for individuals who have experience supporting members of the public and working in partnership with other professionals. The successful candidate will have experience of risk management, an understanding of safeguarding, and a willingness to undertake any training or qualifications relevant to the role. This role is dependent on mutuality and empowerment, so Lived experience of mental health, either directly or indirectly is essential, with the successful candidate able to manage their own wellbeing and resilience a key aspect of this.
