As a Trading Services Specialist within the Loan Trading Documentation team, you will be responsible for primary and secondary trade closing support. Wholesale Loan Middle Office is a part of Wholesale Lending Services that primarily supports the European Credit Trading, and Syndicated Leverage Finance businesses within the Corporate and Investment Bank.
Job responsibilities
Partners closely with Front Office Debt Capital Markets & Leveraged Finance teams, the trading desk, external clients, legal counsel and operations to thoroughly understand deal structure with focus on transfer mechanics
Coordinates with internal and external legal counsel to negotiate proposed changes to trade related documentation such as Credit Agreements, Transfer Documents, Fronting Agreements
Reconciliates trade bookings in line with agreed documentation, raising any discrepancies with the appropriate contacts
Identifies and escalates issues to front office, transaction coordinators, legal counsel and operations management
Works directly with counterparties, internal partners and external Agents to resolve issues
Works on non-BAU projects and initiatives designed to improve automation and strengthen the team's control environment
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Extensive knowledge of syndicated loans
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to take initiative and self-motivate as well as work as part of a team
Extensive knowledge of loan-based software (LoanIQ, ClearPar)
Extensive experience with LMA standard documentation, knowledge of the LMA Standard Terms and Conditions
Extensive knowledge of the trade lifecycle and/or experience supporting a trading business
