You will work closely with the Corporate Community Engagement Lead to deliver high-quality, innovative engagement processes that reflect resident needs and council priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure residents have clear and accessible opportunities to participate in engagement activities related to the Local Plan.
Support the development and implementation of innovative, industry-leading community engagement methods.
Deliver engagement activity within set quality, budget, and time parameters.
Contribute to the organisation and management of engagement events, public meetings, forums, and consultations.
Assist colleagues across the council by providing advice and collaborative support for engagement projects.
Help design and deliver engagement materials, including newsletters, leaflets, digital content, surveys, and social media updates.
Build strong relationships with residents, community groups, third-sector partners, councillors, and internal council teams.
Ensure under-represented groups have tailored pathways to engage and share their views.
Contribute to corporate data collection, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of engagement activity.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to the engagement forward plan.
Support borough-wide benchmarking, surveys, and performance measurement.
Ensure all engagement aligns with Royal Greenwich's Community Engagement Framework and statutory expectations.

Experience working in local government or large public-sector organisations.

Experience managing or supporting external consultants.
