We're looking for a Local Platform Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of our UK fleets. In this role, you'll take ownership of strategic fleet roadmaps and asset plans for all new and existing Siemens fleets, driving innovation, optimisation, and continuous improvement. You'll be at the forefront of developing long-term fleet strategies, rom heavy maintenance and refurbishments to on-train digital solutions and cross-fleet efficiencies, ensuring we deliver safe, reliable, and future-ready fleets for our customers across the UK.

This role also includes travel our Siemens sites across the UK around once a month, with occasional overnight stays, supported by Siemens Mobility.

You'll create an impact by...

Developing and delivering strategic fleet roadmaps that cover the full lifecycle of all new and existing Siemens fleets, incorporating heavy maintenance, innovation, optimisation initiatives, and digital on-train solutions. Creating detailed asset plans that drive fleet performance and reliability, working closely with customers to align improvement initiatives with their operational goals and Siemens' global strategy. Building strong customer relationships by engaging in regular reviews, collaborating on shared objectives, and ensuring all interactions reflect Siemens' "Think Customer" philosophy. Championing health, safety, and environmental excellence by implementing safe systems of work, promoting behavioural safety, and supporting Siemens' commitment to sustainable operations. Role modelling Siemens' values and behaviours, promoting a culture of integrity, accountability, and collaboration across all interactions. Driving continuous improvement and quality, contributing to the 3is programme, identifying efficiencies, and ensuring quality standards are met and continually enhanced. Ensuring compliance and business support by adhering to internal controls and Siemens policies, supporting bids and contract extensions, and collaborating with procurement and sales teams to deliver best-in-class service.

Your success will be grounded by...

A relevant engineering or science degree, or equivalent experience gained within a complex technical environment. In-depth knowledge of engineering maintenance techniques and processes, including reliability-centred maintenance and its implementation. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation. Strong IT and digital literacy, with a good understanding of relevant systems and software tools. Proven people management or leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and guide others to deliver results. Collaborative working style, building strong relationships across teams and disciplines to achieve shared goals.

It would also be useful to have...

Experience of project planning and familiarity with planning tools and methodologies. Understanding of industry maintenance best practice, particularly within the rail or related engineering sectors.
