Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Locum Consultant in General Medicine
to provide high-quality care within a dynamic and supportive medical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy NHS Trust or private hospital, offering flexible locum shifts and competitive rates.Key Responsibilities:
Provide Consultant-level care to patients admitted under General Medicine Oversee the management of acute medical inpatients and referrals Supervise junior doctors (FYs, CTs, IMTs, Registrars) and participate in ward rounds Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care Participate in departmental audits, governance meetings, and teaching (if required) Lead and contribute to MDT discussions and discharge planning Optional: Take part in on-call rota (nights/weekends as agreed)
Requirements:
Full GMC registration with a license to practice MRCP or equivalent postgraduate qualification Inclusion on the Specialist Register (or eligible for CESR) Minimum of 6-12 months recent experience working as a Consultant in General Medicine ALS certification (or willingness to obtain) Valid Right to Work in the UK

Pay: 90.00-110.00 per hour
