Job Description

Join our multi-disciplinary team to deliver a comprehensive acute neurology service. This role involves: Providing a daily in-reach ward referral service and covering colleagues during their absence. Maintaining responsibility for patient care, ensuring safe handovers. Supervising nurse specialists in collaboration with other consultants.

Offering prompt consultations to other specialties as needed. Collaborating with medical, nursing, and management teams to enhance clinical leadership and patient experiences. Engaging in education, research, audit, and clinical governance activities with a focus on a multi-disciplinary approach. Contributing to the training and professional development of both medical and non-medical staff, including supervision of junior doctors and teaching sessions.

Supporting recruitment, appraisal, and mentoring within the team. Undertaking additional duties as required, with changes negotiated and reflected in job plans.
