This role involves assisting the dentist with dental equipment, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout treatment.
You'll play an important role in bringing essential dental care to vulnerable and elderly patients who are unable to attend traditional dental practices.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the dentist in delivering dental care to residents in care homes
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment for portable use.
Ensure strict compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
Set up, sterilise, and pack down portable dental equipment at each location.
Support the dentist in recording clinical notes, patient details, and treatment information using

.
Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety during all visits.
Manage stock levels of consumables and ensure all equipment is transported safely.
Liaise professionally with care home managers and staff to coordinate appointments.
Follow all safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection protocols.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to post-visit reporting.
Requirements
Qualified Dental Nurse
GDC registration
Up-to-date
infection control
, and
immunisation
records etc.
Full UK driving licence
and access to a car.
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude.
