The postholder will provide high-quality clinical care to patients, working as part of a multidisciplinary team under consultant supervision. Duties may involve ward work, outpatient clinics, emergency admissions, theatre sessions, and on-call commitments, depending on the specialty and grade.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe and effective diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients.
Undertake ward rounds, clinics, procedures, or theatre sessions as appropriate.
Respond to emergency calls and provide on-call cover when required.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records in accordance with GMC and NHS Trust standards.
Liaise effectively with nursing, allied health professionals, and other medical colleagues.
Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, handovers, and discharge planning.
Comply with Trust and NHS policies, including infection control, safeguarding, and confidentiality.
Participate in clinical audit, governance, and quality improvement activities as requested.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Essential:
MBBS or equivalent primary medical qualification.
Full GMC registration with a current licence to practise.
Minimum of 2 years post-graduate medical experience (relevant to grade).
Right to work in the UK (visa or settled status).
Valid life support certification (BLS / ALS).
Occupational health clearance and up-to-date immunisation record.
DBS check (enhanced level).
Up-to-date mandatory training (Safeguarding, Manual Handling, Infection Control, etc.).
Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different clinical environments.
Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and high-quality care.
