Typical Duties:
Supervise and manage inpatients and outpatients.
Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings.
Provide on-call cover as per rota (including nights/weekends).
Attend emergency calls (e.g., cardiac arrests, deteriorating patients).
Carry out assessments, admissions, and discharges.
Complete documentation and maintain accurate records.
Liaise with nursing staff, consultants, allied health professionals, and relatives.
Participate in teaching, audits, and quality improvement projects (where applicable).
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered clinical care.
Ensure effective handover to colleagues.
Maintain GMC Good Medical Practice standards.
Comply with all Trust policies including safeguarding, infection control, and information governance.
Contribute to the training and supervision of junior doctors and medical students (if ST6+).
Participate in clinical governance and audits.
Requirements
Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
Minimum 3 years of post-graduate medical experience (ST3+ level).
Right to work in the UK.
Relevant NHS or UK clinical experience within the specialty.
ALS / ATLS / PALS (as applicable).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Enhanced DBS clearance.
Mandatory training (can be provided via agency).
Qualifications
MBBS or equivalent medical degree (required).
MRCP / MRCS / MRCEM / MRCPsych / FRCA / MRCOG / FRCR (desirable depending on specialty).

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: 65.00-80.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 - 50 per week
