Summary

Join Abbeymead Dental Centre as a Dental Hygienist to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional dental care. In this role, you will support patient oral health through professional cleaning and education, working within a dynamic team committed to excellence.

Maternity cover from April 2026 for approxinately 6-9 months. We are expanding our surgeries so there may be a chance to progress into a full time role. This role is perfect for a qualified Hygienists looking to settle into a practice with modern equipment and using GBT techniques.

Responsibilities

Perform professional dental cleanings and periodontal treatments to maintain optimal patient oral health. Assist dentists during various procedures with precision and care. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate patient records using advanced dental software. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed. Stay updated with the latest dental hygiene techniques and technologies. Support the team in creating a welcoming environment for all patients.

Qualifications

Registered Dental Hygienist with relevant certification. Strong knowledge of anatomy and dental imaging techniques. Experience with SOE software is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and patient care attitude. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of infection control standards in dental practice. Prior experience in a modern dental practice is advantageous. Commitment to continuous professional development.
