To ensure consistent service delivery, we maintain a bank of locum casual workers who provide essential temporary cover when staffing gaps arise.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Locum Minibus Transport Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation for our Trainees to and home from Props. This role is crucial in ensuring that our Trainees can access the opportunities and support they need.

Morning shift- 7.30am-9.30am

Afternoon shift- 2.45pm-4.45pm

Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport service users to and from designated locations, ensuring punctuality and adherence to schedules. Assist service users with boarding and alighting the minibus, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Conduct regular vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure the minibus is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of journeys, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or issues. Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and other staff members to ensure smooth and coordinated transport services. Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a care or support setting. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to transport services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexibly, including for unplanned cover Compassionate and patient attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Pay: From 12.60 per hour
