We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for managing medication therapies, providing patient education, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
Ideal for newly qualified Pharmacist looking to build managerial skills. Competitive salary looking for between 2-3 days per week. Extra shifts may be available upon request, staff discount scheme, paid lunch break.
Responsibilities
Check dispensed prescription medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to legal and ethical standards.
Provide medication counselling to patients, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and potential side effects.
Review patient medication histories to identify potential drug interactions or contraindications.
Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Educate patients on proper medication administration techniques and the importance of adherence to prescribed therapies.
Providing services such as NMS (new medication service), pharmacy first, flu vaccine, contraceptive service, COVID vaccine and travel vaccine (training provided if needed).
Skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly to patients and their families.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing prescriptions and patient records.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team focused on enhancing patient care outcomes.
