We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. This role requires a thorough understanding of anatomy, medication administration, and experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting is highly desirable. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes through effective medication management.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication therapy management and counselling. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-specific medication plans. Conduct thorough medication reviews to identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, and allergies. Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications to enhance treatment efficacy. Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in clinical rounds within the ICU, providing expert advice on pharmacotherapy for critically ill patients. Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmacology and best practices in patient care.

Requirements

A valid pharmacy degree from an accredited institution. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Proven experience in a clinical pharmacy setting; ICU experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to pharmacotherapy. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients and healthcare teams. Demonstrated ability in medication administration and monitoring patient responses to therapy. A commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of advancements in the field.

Pay: 30.00-40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
