Job Summary
Brampton Village Pharmacy is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our friendly, slow-paced community pharmacy on a part-time locum basis. This role is ideal for both newly qualified and experienced pharmacists looking for a supportive environment with manageable workload.
You will need to be fully trained to deliver
NHS Pharmacy First
,
NHS Contraception Service
, and other core community pharmacy services. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our local community through safe, effective, and person-centred pharmaceutical care.
Key Responsibilities
Dispense and check prescriptions accurately in line with legal and professional standards.
Provide clear, evidence-based advice to patients on medicines, side effects, and interactions.
Deliver NHS clinical services including Pharmacy First and the Contraception Service (full support and training provided).
Support patients with self-care advice and appropriate signposting to wider NHS services.
Maintain accurate records, interventions, and clinical notes in accordance with GPhC and NHS requirements.
Work collaboratively with dispensers and support staff to ensure smooth daily workflow.
Support stock control, ordering, and safe storage of medicines.
Ensure compliance with all GPhC standards, SOPs, and safeguarding policies.
Keep up to date with clinical developments and service requirements.
Experience & Requirements
GPhC-registered Pharmacist (or awaiting registration for newly qualified).
Community pharmacy experience preferred, but not essential.
Confidence or willingness to train in delivering NHS Pharmacy First and Contraception services.
Strong communication and patient-consultation skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team.
