Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prison Cleared Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. This position requires a strong commitment to accuracy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications. Accurately label and package medications for patients. Provide information to patients regarding medication usage and potential side effects. Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders as necessary. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as pharmacy policies. Perform medication administration under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist when required. Support patient care initiatives by providing exceptional service and addressing patient inquiries.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of medication administration practices and patient care principles. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy in all tasks. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is advantageous but not mandatory. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in patient care.
