Fixed Term Contract until 22 December 2023

Our Scheme Managers\' key priority is to facilitate and enable older people in retirement housing to live as independently as possible. We are looking for a Locum Scheme Manager to join our team on a part-time basis for a fixed-term contract until the end of December 2023. Your time will be spent providing cover at a range of Schemes across West Sussex including Horsham, Southwater, Henfield, Storrington and Steyning. It is essential that you have a full driving licence as there will be some travel between schemes, this will be paid at 50p per mile.

There is a degree of flexibility around the hours of work and can be adapted to a 4 or 5-day working week depending on your needs, this can be discussed during the interview process.

You will be responsible for providing continuity for residents and colleagues in delivering excellent scheme-based services including:

  • Enhanced Housing Management service (EHM) - advising on income maximisation, promoting independence and tenancy sustainment
  • Tenancy management - low level rent arrears, antisocial behaviour and letting empty properties
  • Facilities management - management of communal areas, health & safety and compliance
  • Partnership working - developing relationships with external agencies in the community

  • Be personable, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude and approach;
  • Have experience of working within a busy and challenging environment
You may have worked with older people, or in housing or are looking to work in this area and you will have excellent customer service skills. It is essential that you have a full driving licence in order to commute between schemes if necessary.
