We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible

Locum Senior House Officer (SHO)

to provide clinical support across a range of departments including

General Medicine, General Surgery, ENT, Trauma & Orthopaedics (T&O), Accident & Emergency (A&E), and Psychiatry

.

This role is ideal for candidates with broad-based NHS experience who are looking for dynamic, multi-specialty clinical exposure in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:



Participate in ward rounds, clerking new admissions, reviewing patients, and preparing discharge summaries. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective patient care. Perform basic procedures and initial patient management under the supervision of registrars/consultants. Participate in on-call rotas (where applicable). Escalate concerns appropriately and contribute to clinical decision-making. Adhere to NHS Trust policies and GMC professional standards.

Essential Requirements:



MBBS or equivalent primary medical qualification.

Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).

A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the NHS

(preferably with exposure to multiple specialties).

Valid Right to Work in the UK

(This role

does not offer visa sponsorship

).

Current Enhanced DBS Certificate

(or willing to undergo one).

Valid life support certification

(e.g., BLS/ALS depending on department). Up-to-date

mandatory training

and

occupational health clearance

. Excellent communication and teamworking skills.

Desirable Skills & Experience:



Previous SHO-level experience in any or all of the listed specialties. Familiarity with NHS clinical systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner, Medway). Flexible availability and willingness to work varying shifts including nights and weekends.

are available for this role. Shifts may vary depending on the department and Trust requirements. Competitive hourly rates offered based on experience and shift type.
