3. Key Duties & Responsibilities
Provide safe and effective clinical care under consultant supervision.
Conduct ward rounds, patient reviews, clerking, and documentation.
Participate in emergency assessments and acute take (where applicable).
Support outpatient clinics, theatres, and procedural work (depending on specialty).
Ensure timely completion of discharge summaries and clinical notes.
Work collaboratively with nursing, AHPs, and wider MDT.
Participate in the on-call rota as required.
Follow Trust policies, clinical guidelines, and GMC Good Medical Practice.
Engage in audits, teaching, and quality improvement activities.
4. Qualification Requirements
Essential:
MBBS / MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
Full GMC registration with a Licence to Practice.
Completion of Foundation Training or equivalent.
Relevant clinical experience for ST level applied (ST1-3 or ST4-8).
Up-to-date ALS certification (or willingness to obtain).
Right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
Previous NHS experience at the same specialty/grade.
Additional life-support qualifications (e.g., APLS, ATLS, PALS, ILS depending on specialty).
Evidence of participation in audits, QI, research or teaching.
