Key Responsibilities
Manage acute and elective patients at registrar level in your specialty
Participate in ward rounds, clinics, theatre sessions, or on-call rota as required
Provide supervision and support to junior doctors and allied staff
Liaise with consultants, nursing teams, and other professionals to deliver safe, coordinated care
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation
Comply with local Trust policies and adhere to GMC and NHS standards
Adapt quickly to new environments and systems with minimal induction
Person Specification
Essential Requirements
GMC Registration with Full Licence to Practise
Right to work in the UK
Minimum 3 years of post-Foundation (FY2) experience
Specialty experience relevant to ST3-ST8 level
ALS (Advanced Life Support) certification (or equivalent)
Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Flexible availability (days, nights, weekends)
Desirable
MRCP / MRCS / MRCEM / FRCA / MRCPCH or relevant Royal College exams
Prior NHS experience in the chosen specialty
Subspecialty interest or procedural skills
Willingness to travel to multiple Trusts or sites
