We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Installer to join our dynamic team here at Loft Boarding Midlands . The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in various carpentry/ construction disciplines, enabling them to lead the installation of raised loft boarding with either timber sub framed floor, 175mm Loft Leg or, our core product the Loft Zone System, with precision and efficiency (Without supervision, direction and control). Previous experience installing sub framed floors and raised loft leg is essential for this role. Experience installing Loft Zone would be extremely advantageous. You will also be required to identify possible issues around structural integrity, energy efficiency and other day to day issues we come across while working in a loft. You will be required to cut out sections of ceiling / joists, re-support joists where necessary, relocate loft hatches, install wooden ladders and much more.

Duties
Oversee and manage installation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Coordinate with team members and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication on-site.
Perform installations in roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, and other construction-related tasks as required.
Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various installation tasks.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute installations accurately.
Conduct routine inspections of work completed by team members to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Provide training and mentorship to junior installers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Maintain an organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly and safely.
Experience
Proven experience in LOFT BOARDING, CARPENTRY, GENERAL PLASTER BOARDING (Loft hatch size) , WOODEN LADDER INSTALLS. is essential.
Familiarity with general carpentry / construction is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in the construction industry. For example, Circular saw, Jig saw, Impact Drivers, Combi Drills, Multi Tool, Grinder etc.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a construction setting is preferred but not essential.
A strong commitment to safety practices on-site is mandatory.
