About this job




You will be responsible for supporting the Logistics Coordinator with the scheduling and co-ordination of customer deliveries, ensuring all activities are performed in an accurate & timely manner to deliver functional and business objectives.



Interact with internal and external stakeholders, customers, suppliers and third-party providers.



Due to the level of interaction required with colleagues across various operating divisions, this role needs to be office based.


Core Responsibilities - Operational tasks

Support the Logistics Coordinator with the scheduling and processing of deliveries nationally and internationally of bulk, IBC and palletised refined oils / specialty products through Oleon Fleet and 3rd party logistics providers to achieve the daily delivery plan Ensure deliveries are booked in efficiently with customers to achieve the delivery schedule provided by the Logistics Coordinator Work closely with our 3PL providers to maximise performance, drive efficiency and highlight any decline in performance Support the Logistics Coordinator to identify solutions and contingency plans for any delivery issues Manage all activities associated with returnable transit packaging (IBC's) Prepare relevant transport documentation, including commercial invoices and packing lists, required to export goods Understand and arrange shipment of dangerous goods, ensuring the relevant documentation is provided in a timely manner Raise & receipt transport purchase orders for deliveries executed on 3rd party hauliers Resolve any invoice queries relating to 3rd party haulier deliveries Be involved in the process to ensure import clearance for inbound international stock replenishments Daily dialog with the Logistics Fleet team to co-ordinate delivery operations Provide cover as required for the Logistics Coordinator / Logistics Administrator within the team

Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with conflicting demands Excellent Microsoft office skills particularly Excel, together with experience of using internal database systems Excellent written and oral communication skills Meticulous attention to detail Ability to prioritise and delegate when needed Experience in working as part of a team, organising and coordinating work-based activities Ability to liaise with both internal and external customers/suppliers Active team player with the ability to work autonomously, prioritising & organising own workload effectively and supporting others if demands necessitate it A solution focused with a can-do attitude, with ability to look outside the box Working knowledge of transport and logistic systems would be an added bonus!
