The role





Our Business Services department are essential in providing support to Area Commands and departments across the force. We have a fantastic opportunity to join the team as a Logistics Administrator.



This is a varied role where you'll be at the very centre of logistics and the 24/7 operation of our busy police force. You'll work with various departments such as Estates and Digital Policing to ensure that they are provided with a range of administrative support to ensure a smooth daily operation. You'll need to be super organised as you'll be helping with the movement of stock, mail, and PPE Force Wide.

What you'll do





Provide a modern logistics service that caters to the needs of all stakeholders and is flexible to operational demand.
Maintain computerised and paper-based records as well as clerical responsibilities.
Open and sort all mail (postal and electronic) ensuring they are delivered to the right place efficiently.
Storeroom stock control and audits.
Submitting orders and delivery paperwork.
Driving duties to ensure delivery is made to locations force wide.

What you'll bring





Competent in using both Microsoft Excel and Word.
A full driving licence and the ability to drive manual vehicles including a transit van (a full licence would cover this as standard)
Good planning skills for delivery routes and the ability to manage your time effectively.
Problem solving skills and the confidence to re-prioritise when busy.
Strong team working skills.

Terms of appointment





This is a secondment/fixed-term role subject to a six-month probationary period



If you are successful in your application, you will have a six-month probation period with us where you will be unable to for any other post advertised internally or externally
