Logistics Administrator
Location: Office-based, Northampton
Salary: 27,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
About the Role -
Our client is looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Logistics Administrator to play a critical role in our day-to-day operations. Based in their Northampton office, you will be central to ensuring accurate invoicing, excellent customer communication, and high-quality administrative support.
This role is essential to maintaining their service standards, financial accuracy, and operational efficiency. If you enjoy working with numbers, systems, and people - and take pride in getting things right first time - this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities -

  • Prepare, verify, and process customer invoices accurately and within agreed timescales
  • Investigate and resolve invoicing discrepancies, ensuring issues are followed through to completion
  • Maintain well-organised financial, billing, and administrative records
  • Act as the professional first point of contact for customers, responding to queries, enquiries, and service requests promptly and effectively
  • Escalate operational or service-related concerns to the appropriate teams when required
  • Maintain accurate documentation and internal records in line with company standards
  • Support the Operations team with reporting, filing, and data management
  • Assist with general office administration to support the wider team
Person Specification
Essential:
  • Previous administrative or office-based experience
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good IT skills, including Excel, email, and internal systems
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Professional and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable:
  • Experience within logistics, transport, or warehousing environments
  • Previous experience using invoicing or finance systems
  • Knowledge of transport management or warehouse systems
  • Customer service qualifications or formal training
