Position: Logistics & Enablement Lead - Wing of Tomorrow Programme
Duration: 31/03/2026 - Likely to be extended

  • Experience within facilities maintenance would be beneficial
  • Managing all standard enablement activities including calibration of tools, booking tools in and out, maintenance stock checking, liaising with suppliers
  • Candidate should be able to understand receiving goods in and out, able to engage with procurement and understanding machines and maintenance
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of the most advanced aerospace demonstrator programmes in the industry. The Logistics & Enablement Lead will be responsible for shaping and executing the logistics and enablement strategy for the build of next-generation composite wing boxes - part of the groundbreaking Wing of Tomorrow initiative.
Working closely with cross-functional teams in Manufacturing, Build Process, and Production System Development, the successful candidate will ensure that all operational requirements are seamlessly integrated into the industrial process. This includes planning and delivering logistics solutions that support both production needs and internal commitments to technological and process innovation.
Once the initial strategy is implemented, the role transitions into daily operational support - ensuring all service provider components and equipment are fully aligned with production demands in a highly automated and digitally integrated environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the enablement system across People, Machines, Materials, Methods, and Measurement.
  • Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement and lean performance management.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment across production areas.
  • Prepare designated areas for build readiness and demand execution.
  • Support recruitment, training, and resource planning to meet current and future enablement needs.
  • Promote and uphold a culture of safety, ensuring compliance and readiness of all equipment, including LOLER-certified assets.
  • Develop use cases for production system deployment and innovation.
  • Establish and manage service level agreements (SLAs) with internal and external service providers.
  • Manage procurement processes and ensure timely goods receipt.
  • Act as the primary operational interface for all industrial systems.
Candidate Profile
  • Strong understanding of composite wing builds enablement processes and procedures.
  • Proven experience in logistics and operational support within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Skilled in managing service providers and coordinating complex supply chains.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail, self-motivated, and thrives in dynamic, change-driven environments.
  • Embraces digital transformation and continuous improvement as key drivers of value.
