The role:
You will to be accountable for despatch, logistics and transport and trade compliance for all inbound/outbound shipments to/from customers, manufacturing sub-contractors, returns to Vendors and plant to plant transfers. You will plan and process despatches or collections from customers or vendors, arrange appropriate transportation (including dangerous goods) in an efficient and economic manner appropriate to Johnson Matthey's aims and objectives.
You will represent HT as a point of contact for the JM Group Customs and Trade team, in addition to JM Product Stewardship. Responsibilities include KPI reporting, audit of service providers (internal and external), effective management and administration of trade related master data, systems/tools and associated work instructions and procedures within HT.
As a Logistics and trade co-ordinator, you will help drive our goals by:Planning and processing outbound dispatches and transport both in the UK and internationally, including all quotations and documentation in accordance with legal requirements. Where JM is liable for the insurance of material, ensure that security risk has been minimised. Minimise the security risks to JM by ensuring all shipments are via a pre-approved logistics provider. Ensure advance planning of shipments to customers is co-ordinated with Customer support teams, Quality and Warehouse and Production departments to always achieve deliveries within agreed timescales with correct quality. Ensure compliance standards for all duty and customs controls, including documentation, correct use of tariff codes, and all required licenses as applicable.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:Degree qualified in Logistics or Economics-Desirable Must have experience of international shipping-Essential Experience SAP or similar ERP system-Essential Dangerous Goods Transportation Knowledge-Desirable Knowledge and understanding of import/export legislation-Essential
