Logistics Business Controller
Location: Broughton (60% onsite working required)
Hours: 35 per week (4.5 days, flexible between 7am-7pm)
Pay: 21.68/hr (PAYE) or 29.00/hr (umbrella)
Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by Airbus Security)
IR35: Inside

What You'll Be Doing
Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead financial planning and forecasting, providing clear guidance in line with company strategy.
• Develop and maintain multi-year financial targets.
• Build and run financial models, scenarios, and business cases to support decision-making.
• Anticipate financial risks and opportunities, advising on mitigation strategies.

Business Partnering & Decision Support

• Understand the operational environment, including governance and business challenges.
• Challenge business requests constructively to ensure robust financial outcomes.
• Advise on cost optimisation and competitiveness initiatives, monitoring savings and improvements.

Reporting & Data Quality

• Produce accurate, insightful financial reports at the right level of detail.
• Analyse performance, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support resource reviews, headcount planning, and cost allocation.
• Approve and audit purchase orders, review commitments, and trigger cost rebookings as needed.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive process improvements within the business area.
• Champion best practice in financial reporting and governance.

• Experience in a finance role, ideally within manufacturing or logistics.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and governance.
• Confident with financial modelling and analysis.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
