Due to business growth, our client, an established Freight Forwarder, is currently looking to appoint an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Birmingham.
As Logistics Coordinator, a typical day will involve dealing with import, export and cross trade shipments end to end, ensuring compliance at all times. Excellent customer service and communication skills are imperative as you'll be liaising with customers, overseas agents and suppliers alongside managing key relationships.
Logistics Coordinator duties include:

• Managing import, export and cross trade shipments end to end including pricing.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, overseas agents and suppliers.
• Inputting and updating data on CargoWise operating system.
• Organising timely deliveries for customers.
• Checking and processing invoices for payment and liaising with accounts team.
• Resolving any transportation issues that may arise within a timely manner.
• Ensuring compliance with shipping documents and customs requirements.

Candidate should have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent organisational and communication skills, be able to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure and to deadlines.
We're keen to speak to logistics / freight forwarding professionals who have 2+ years experience and a good understanding of CDS / Incoterms. Knowledge of CargoWise operating and customs system would also be an advantage.
This is a full-time, permanent position, based in Birmingham, with on-site parking available.
In return, the successful Logistics Coordinator will be offered up to 30,000 in line with skills and experience.
