The Role
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our Games Services and Workforce team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the behind-the-scenes success of a globally significant event, working within a collaborative, fast-paced team committed to delivering operational excellence across the city of Glasgow.
Job Summary:
As the Logistics Coordinator, you will be support all aspects of the Logistics Functional Area, contribute to the creation of key operational documents, policies and procedures, assist in monitoring the progress of project plans, and support the identification of risks, challenges and opportunities. You will work closely with colleagues across the Organising Company, Event Delivery Partners and embedded contractors to ensure logistics planning is fully integrated and aligned across all workstreams. The role will also involve supporting the recruitment, onboarding and training of Games-time operational staff and contractors, as well as helping to manage the Master Delivery Schedule and access protocols for venue deliveries.
You will also provide essential general support to the Logistics team, including organising meetings, managing minutes, arranging team activities and helping to maintain smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Skills and Experience:
To succeed in this role you will bring proven logistics experience in a sporting event environment or a similar fast-paced event setting. You will possess strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, confident communication and relationship-building abilities, and a proven track record of delivering to deadlines. Proficiency with IT systems, including MS Office, is essential, while experience with logistics management tools or involvement in major sporting events would be an advantage.
