Your dream role:

We need a logistics guru to join us, working closely with our Head of Logistics to maintain the logistical needs of the company and our customers, ensuring deliveries are on time around the world with excellent service to both our internal and external stakeholders.
  • This is a permanent full-time position based out of our Skelmersdale office, the team work on a hybrid basis of 50% of your time in the office and 50% at home. This means you\'ll work 2 days in the office one week and 3 the next.
  • Your number one responsibility will be to work closely with our third-party logistics partners to ensure all daily bookings and deliveries are met.
  • Your day will be varied from agreeing rates of shipments with forwarders and carriers, to researching 3PL\'s to ensure cost effectiveness, no two days will be the same!
  • We are a fast-paced business with priorities shifting all the time. Ensuring that internal stakeholders requests are processed promptly will be key, keeping them informed of progress at all times.
  • You\'ll support the ADL 3PL from receipt through to dispatch with the Planning and Stores teams enabling us to meet and exceed customer expectations.
What you will bring:
  • You will be comfortable working under pressure, due to tight deadlines and have good attention to detail.
  • You will have excellent planning and organisation skills, together with great interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering first class customer service within all aspects of Road/Air and Sea transport required within the role.
  • You\'ll communicate efficiently and knowledgably with both external customers and internal stake holders at all levels. Communication will be via email, phone calls and face to face.
  • You will have experience with the coordination of third-party logistics providers and a high attention to detail.
  • Ideally, you\'ll have qualifications within logistics / transport (Road/Air & Sea) or similar experience.
  • Take a proactive approach to problem solving and take the initiative.
  • You\'ll have experience in Supply Chain Logistics / 3PL Distribution or a similar role.
  • Things can be hectic here. You will remain calm under pressure and be able to prioritise a busy workload.
