Logistics and FLT Operative

We are recruiting for an experienced logistics operative to join the team of a global freight forwarder in Castle Donington. You will be joining a small and experienced team to assist with preparation and loading of freight, ensuring stock is moved safely throughout the depot using a forklift truck and ensure accompanying paperwork is processed correctly.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday
9:00am -5.30pm
Tasks include:

• Operate Forklift Trucks (Counterbalance and/or Reach) safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles in line with company and health & safety standards.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch using warehouse systems and scanners.
• Carry out stock checks, goods-in and goods-out processes.
• Maintain accurate records and complete relevant paperwork.
• Ensure products are stored correctly and warehouse areas are kept clean and organised.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily and weekly targets.
• Follow all health, safety, and quality control procedures

About you:

• Experience working within a hands on warehouse environment is essential for this role, experience working withing a freight forwarding operation would be preferred.
• FLT experience essential, either an in-house or external licence is accepted however must be able to provide certification/hard copy.
• Use own initiative and ability to manage own workload.
• Willing to work within a team, reliable and good work ethic required.
• Confident communicator.
• Fluent in English both verbal and written.

This role is offered initially on a temporary contract however this is a long-term position in which opportunity to move to a permanent position will be available after qualifying time period.
