Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

1. To ensure that all Goods Inwards (deliveries and Call-offs / transfers) are correctly managed, intake procedures are followed, and relevant documentation is completed in a timely manner.

2. To ensure traceability throughout the company's internal supply chain

3. Ensure all storage areas in a safe and effective manner at all times.

4. Ensure the stock rotation systems of the company (FIFO).

5. To manage the bulk picking of stock to be issued to production in an efficient and timely proactive manner.

6. To manage the picking and dispatch of finished goods in a timely, accurate and effective manner.

7. Work closely with the Production Department to co-ordinate and ensure effective management and organization of the facility.

8. Support the Logistics Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day operations to fulfil business and department needs and targets, maintaining product safety and quality standards are achieved.

Main Duties:

Ensure receipts are handled correctly and that the required information is accurately captured on the booking in system and both manual and computerized records are accurate, maintained and followed with any anomalies reported immediately. Goods out paperwork to be completed in a timely and correct manner ensuring accuracy. Deliveries must be correctly received, documented, and dealt with efficiently using manual and computerized warehouse management systems to ensure stock accuracy and traceability throughout our supply chain. To ensure temperature integrity and product quality are always maintained. Traceability must be maintained throughout the company's internal supply chain. To ensure all products, ingredients, raw materials, and packaging are picked accurately and in a timely manner. To ensure all orders for finished goods are picked accurately and collated in a safe and timely manner to be ready for dispatch in line with agreed customer service levels. Perform inventory checks and stock takes as per schedule and as requested. Loading and unloading trailers for goods in and out in a safe manner using the forklift. Transporting the products for goods into the correct storage area. Maintain a clean and tidy area of work meeting both safety and hygiene regulations. This includes areas such as Chillers, Freezers and Dry stores but is not limited to these areas. Wear the appropriate PPE at all times and ensure that the team are also compliant. Carry out training in relation to the job. Adhere to company rules and regulations. Assist Logistics Manager in managing the pallet account and deal with the weekly reporting with the relevant pallet supplier (e.g. IPP)
