Reporting directly to the Logistics Cluster Manager, the Logistics Manager, will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and decommissioning of logistics operations across a precinct or competition venue.
This role requires an experienced multi-site logistics professional with proven ability to lead large teams, manage time-critical deliveries, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a high-pressure, fixed-deadline environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in major events, preferably multi-sport competitions, and a strong commitment to operational excellence, safety, and sustainability.
Working Arrangements
The role will commence in the Organising Company's Glasgow city centre office, with visits required to competition venues to fully deliver the responsibilities of the role. The location for the role will transition to be based at a competition venue for Games Delivery.
The role will be contracted for 40 hours per week, with requirements to be in the office aligned to the Organising Company's planned working pattern. All travel to your place of work will be at your own cost. During the Games Operational period, shift patterns are likely to be required which could include weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end logistics planning for the precinct or competition venue in alignment with the Games Logistics Master Plan.
Develop and maintain venue-specific logistics plans, including venue-specific information and delivery schedules, storage layouts and material handling processes.
Ownership of planning and delivering the venue Bump-in and Bump-out schedule.
Work closely with on-venue operational Functional Areas such as Sport, Overlay, Technology and Catering to integrate competition-specific requirements.
Oversee the on-site logistics workforce during Games-time, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, materials, including Furniture, Fittings & Equipment (FF&E), sport equipment through our supply chain.
Monitor operational performance, responding rapidly to issues and ensuring service levels are met without disruption to competition schedules.
Serve as the main logistics point of contact for Venue General Managers and Functional Area Operations Managers.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, security, and sustainability standards across venues.
Manage the decommissioning process post-Games, ensuring the timely removal and return of assets and restoration of the venue.
Support the wider venue Logistics FA on special projects and/or procurements as part of the Logistics Roadmap Delivery Plan.

Experience
Proven experience managing logistics operations, ideally in a major event or multi-sport competition environment.
Track record of planning and delivering operational plans under fixed deadlines.
Experience managing large, diverse workforces, including contractors and volunteers.
