Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a strong focus on improving efficiency and reducing costs. This role is critical in ensuring that our products are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards. The Logistics Manager will work closely with various departments to streamline processes, manage inventory, and enhance overall operational performance.

Duties

Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with company objectives. Manage supply chain operations including purchasing, inventory management, and warehouse distribution. Oversee transportation management, ensuring timely delivery of goods while optimizing freight costs. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in order fulfillment and shipping & receiving operations. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) for effective logistics planning. Conduct demand planning to ensure adequate inventory levels while minimizing excess stock. Collaborate with procurement teams for effective sourcing and category management of materials. Analyze data related to supply chain performance and make informed decisions based on findings. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in materials handling and fleet management. Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations management. Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse management, and transportation planning. Familiarity with ERP systems, CMMS, AS400, and supply chain analytics tools. Excellent data analysis skills to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies. Experience with e-commerce logistics, packaging processes, and freight management is preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving common goals. Forklift certification is a plus; prior warehouse experience is highly desirable. Effective communication skills for collaboration across various departments.
