We have an incredible opportunity for a Logistics Manager to join our team within Scratch Meals Ltd, at our factory in Grimsby. Scratch Meals Ltd specialises in Ready Meals and Ready to cook meals. We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager who can shape and develop a department and team to help with a business amidst an exciting period of growth.

You will be responsible for a department operating 7 days across 2 shifts (6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm). The hours of this role are 40 hours per week. Together with your team you will ensure the main function of this department runs smoothly for inbound and outbound loads whilst adhering to food safety standards.

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all Goods Inwards (deliveries and Call-offs / transfers) are correctly managed, intake procedures are followed, and relevant documentation is completed in a timely manner. To ensure traceability throughout the company's internal supply chain To manage all storage areas in a safe and effective manner at all times. To manage the stock rotation systems of the company (FIFO). To manage the bulk picking of stock to be issued to production in an efficient and timely proactive manner. To manage the picking and dispatch of finished goods in a timely, accurate and effective manner. To manage the Dispatch team and to work closely with the Production Department to co-ordinate and ensure effective management and organization of the facility. Support the Factory Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day operations to fulfil business and department needs and targets, maintaining product safety and quality standards are achieved.

Main Duties:

Ensure receipts are handled correctly and that the required information is accurately captured on the booking in system and both manual and computerized records are accurate, maintained and followed with any anomalies reported immediately. Deliveries must be correctly received, documented, and dealt with efficiently using manual and computerized warehouse management systems to ensure stock accuracy and traceability throughout our supply chain. To ensure temperature integrity and product quality are always maintained. Traceability must be maintained throughout the company's internal supply chain. To ensure all products, ingredients, raw materials, and packaging are picked accurately and in a timely manner. To ensure all orders for finished goods are picked accurately and collated in a safe and timely manner to be ready for dispatch in line with agreed customer service levels. Perform inventory checks and stock takes as per schedule and as requested. Booking collections Maintain a clean and tidy area meeting both safety and hygiene regulations. Wear the appropriate PPE at all times and ensure that the team are also compliant. Carry out training in relation to the job. Adhere to company rules and regulations. Monitor the performance of transport providers and costs Manage the fulfilment of customer orders, including reconciling customer order with proofs of delivery (PODs) Assist the Finance Team in reconciling the transport providers' invoices to ensure that they are correct Assist Planning Manager in managing the pallet account and deal with the weekly reporting with the relevant pallet supplier (e.g. IPP) Reviewing and, where appropriate, challenging transport or delivery related non-compliance charges, working in close coordination with the Finance Team Reporting on key performance indicators, including waste, storage and transport costs
