We have an incredible opportunity for a Logistics Manager to join our team within Scratch Meals Ltd, at our factory in Grimsby. Scratch Meals Ltd specialises in Ready Meals and Ready to cook meals. We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager who can shape and develop a department and team to help with a business amidst an exciting period of growth.
You will be responsible for a department operating 7 days across 2 shifts (6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm). The hours of this role are 40 hours per week. Together with your team you will ensure the main function of this department runs smoothly for inbound and outbound loads whilst adhering to food safety standards.
Job Purpose:
To ensure that all Goods Inwards (deliveries and Call-offs / transfers) are correctly managed, intake procedures are followed, and relevant documentation is completed in a timely manner.
To ensure traceability throughout the company's internal supply chain
To manage all storage areas in a safe and effective manner at all times.
To manage the stock rotation systems of the company (FIFO).
To manage the bulk picking of stock to be issued to production in an efficient and timely proactive manner.
To manage the picking and dispatch of finished goods in a timely, accurate and effective manner.
To manage the Dispatch team and to work closely with the Production Department to co-ordinate and ensure effective management and organization of the facility.
Support the Factory Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day operations to fulfil business and department needs and targets, maintaining product safety and quality standards are achieved.
